Frequently Asked Questions:
If we missed anything, please bring it to our attention and we will get it posted....
Q: What are you hours of operation?
A: We work for a short line Rail Road, so we have odd days and hours but try very hard to accommodate every buyer. Best times to contact us via phone or schedule a visit:
Sunday, Monday, and Saturdays 4pm-8pm. Tuesday – Friday 8am-8pm
Q: Do you take payments?
A: Yes we do. We ask for a non-refundable 20-25% down payment. Then monthly payments thereafter, dependent upon your pay periods (weekly/bi-weekly/ect). There will be a contract between us and the buyer. We do not charge board for ‘short’ term payment plans. We want to help buyers purchase the horse of their dreams and to be return customers.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: Yes we do with-in a 50 mile radius of our location for free. After that we charge a $1.00 per mile round trip.
Q: What can I expect from your training program?
A: Depends on what your horse needs: broke to ride, re-fresher, fine-tuned, behavior/trouble issues. All packages 30/60/120 days cover back to basics. To only name a few: longe line work to include changing directions and controlling gaits, yielding fore and hind quarters, trailer training, saddling/bridling, riding, grooming, leading. We encourage owner participation, as we believe that this helps build a bond between owner and horse. The price for training also depends upon the level of training, but board and feed (hay only) is included.
We currently use nature as our training tools. This is why you see a lot of photos out and about in the fields. We also have access to a 20 acre property about 1/2 mile from us that we utilize for riding.
Q: Do you take back a horse that was purchased from your stable? And will I get my money back?
A: Yes we will take a purchased horse back at our stable. We strongly encourage pre-purchase medical examines at the buyers expense. We guarantee our horses’ 100% sound and no medical issues; So with that said…..we are unable to refund the purchase price if no pre-purchase exam was not completed. It’s just too hard to say what happens after a horse leaves our stable. We also strongly encourage meet and greets. This helps determine is the horse will be a fit for the buyer. BUT IF there is no medical issue with the purchased horse and it’s a personality conflict, etc. and then the same rule applies as stated above, we will take the horse back, but no refund will be given. A possible credit may be given for another horse only if certain circumstances apply.
Q: What are your rates for boarding? Do you have an indoor riding arena? Any trail on your property?
A: Our boarding fees include shelter, hay, water, daily care. We feed 2x daily. Please contact us for the current rates as they could change depending upon hay price (We welcome the thought of bring your own hay if you choose). We don not at this time have an indoor riding arena (wish we did!!). We currently use nature as our training tools. This is why you see a lot of photos out and about in the fields. We also have access to a 160 acre property about 1/2 mile from us that we utilize for riding.
